Children's Church

Mini Church
Mini Church is for children aged 0 to 5 years. Sessions include free play time, Bible story
videos, sing-a-longs and a colouring sheet to take home.
Sunday Morning 11am

Use teaching materials provided to choose age-appropriate activities for the children

Set-up the space before and tidy up after the session.
NOTE - to volunteer in this role you will be required to undertake a PVG check and to attend annual child protection training.
Legends
Legends is for children in Primary 1 to Primary 7. Interactive and fun activities are used
along with Bible story videos to explore God’s Word.

Coffee Bar

Serving refreshments after church services and special events. Talking to those attending
and making them feel welcome while they wait for their drinks.

Prepare hot drinks before services and events
Serve refreshments after the event, which may include collecting donations
Make conversation with people while they wait to be served
Clean and tidy the coffee area after the event
Compassion

The Compassion teams help to look after vulnerable and isolated people in our community.
We hold regular events such as High Tea and Hymns, as well as offering practical help like
hospital visits, help with shopping or just a phone call to keep people from feeling lonely.

Hosting Team

Sundays: 11am, 3pm, 7pm
In-Person Hosting Team:
The hosting team are the first to welcome people arriving at church, help them settle in and answer questions from those who are new to church. Volunteers also help out practically
during church services with distributing communion cups, helping with the offering collection and similar tasks.
Online Hosting Team:
Chat to people online, make them feel welcome. Help with running the service online.
Worship

The Worship team is inspired to: point to the saviour; proclaim the greatness of God; love
the house and serve it; and raise up a new generation of worshipers. Our musicians and
vocalists work together as part of the band to provide live worship during in-person
services.

Prayer

Weekdays: 8am

Our prayer team meets every weekday on Zoom from 8am – 9pm to pray together for our community. These meetings are drop-in sessions so everyone is welcome at any time. The
team also provides individual prayer support during church services and events

Online Broadcast
Making our services accessible to our online community via live streaming.

Use video streaming software to livestream church services, including controlling cameras and other video inputs.

Provide text based support to livestream audience members who are experiencing technical issues
Chat to people online, make them feel welcome. Help with the run of the service online.
TRIBE (Youth)

Tribe
Tribe is Gate Church’s ministry for young people of high school age. Our mission is to reach
the lost and release the found. We meet each Friday during term time for games, team building activities and a short time of bible teaching.
Fridays 7pm-9pm

Arrange games, social activities and bible teaching appropriate for teenagers and young people each week

Support young people in their faith journey through small group discussion and prayer
