Volunteering

"By volunteering at the Community Wardrobe, I feel as if I am giving something back. It fits with my values of recycling/re-using. The only “new” thing about it is the people I meet, other volunteers and those who visit, which is part of the fun for me. It makes me happy to see someone leave with their pre-loved items with a smile on their face and a spring in their step"
Sharon, Community Wardrobe Volunteer
Volunteers are vital to the Carbon Savings Project. From sharing skills in our workshops to collecting food donations for our Community Fridge, our volunteers help us to support people in need and build a more sustainable, low-carbon community.
We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities for all ages, so no matter how much time you have to give or what your skills are we would love to have you on the team. There are just some examples of areas where you might be able to help:
-
Community Fridge - help us collect and distribute surplus food
-
Community Wardrobe - welcome visitors and organise donated clothing
-
Workshops - share your skills with others
