We are continuing on from yesterday's devotional - focusing on what God is doing and what He wants to do beyond our own lives and schedules.
Yesterday I said how in our society and our human nature it is easy to get so self-absorbed and to think only about me, myself and I. Indeed we can even allow this type of thinking to creep into our walk with God. But such thinking is to be rejected because our God is a big picture God, who wants His people to think and see beyond their own lives.
“Catch me up in Your story, all my life for Your glory”
When I get too self-absorbed in my own little thing I’ve got going on, Holy Spirit normally uses this song to lift my head out of that selfish place, reminding me that all of life is to be for the praise of His glory.
Today, take time to ask Holy Spirit to give you a glimpse of how your life is part of His bigger story, and ask Him to use every situation and encounter for His glory.
“In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.” - Ephesians 1:11-12
