The next few months are buzzing with events and ways to get more involved in church. The new WIN team headed up by Steve Lafferty is heading out and about round Dundee and if you want to get involved in further evangelism in the city you can contact him either directly or via the office.
The Men are taking to the hills once again on Saturday 5th September. It will be followed by a BBQ and this is a great opportunity for those who don't attend on Sunday's to hang out with the guys from the church. We also have a Men’s Prayer Meeting on Wednesday 9th September.
There are Connect events at the students Fresher Fayres (Wednesday 9th September for Abertay University and Saturday 12th September for University of Dundee) and a Welcome Sunday BBQ on Sunday 13th for all those new or returning to Dundee. The Welcome Sunday also includes Baptisms so it's a great opportunity to invite people along.
There is Acoustic Cafe on Wednesday 16th September and student connect events planned on Wednesday 23rd and 30th.
Small Groups continue and if you aren't involved in one we would encourage you to do so
It's a great way to grow in God and friendships within the church. Richard Pitt has been connecting with our small group leaders following our Leaders training month in June and if you are a small group leader he will be on contact over the next few months to see how we can best support these groups.
The Worship team continue to grow after team building nights and a junior worship academy which ran before the summer. They are holding a Worship night on Friday 18th September to which all are invited.
Radiance meeting for ladies will be on Sunday 20th September. Join us for some worship, teaching and fellowship. It's going to be a great time!
We are opening up our building to the public on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of September as part of Doors Open Day Dundee. On Saturday we are inviting people to take guided tours of the building, providing information about the church’s history and architecture, and on Sunday to attend our morning service.
The coffee bar is almost complete and there will be an "opening Sunday" launch of it during the next month. Thank you for all your patience during the months it was out of use!
This year is also the 40th year of the church and we plan a number of events in coming months to celebrate this and envision us for the next few years. Pastor Fiona will launch the 40th year vision to the church at the Sunday 27th September service...not to be missed!
