December is upon us! It's a time of anticipation and excitement about Christmas, it's a time when we celebrate the Prince of Peace and it's also an opportunity where we can be His peace.
As part of our celebrations we sent away 65 Christmas shoeboxes with Operation Christmas Child, we reached out to those in the community with our well-attended Christmas High Tea and Hymns and have heard God’s word for the church during our “Revelation Sunday” service.
As we look forward to Christmas Day there is still much more in our church calendar.
Our children and youth can enjoy their various Christmas Parties(Source 11th December, Children's Church 13th December) and the surprises that come with those. On Sunday 13th at 11am, in the midst of our busy preparations, we make time to reflect on the deeper things in our “Peace Sunday” service. Don't miss that!
On 20th December there is also a Men’s Prayer meeting in the evening at 8pm and that is a great opportunity for the men to gather and pray for Peace over all situations at home and abroad.
Our Christmas Services are a fantastic opportunity to invite neighbours, friends and family to celebrate with us. You can pick up invitation cards from the church office or even send an electronic invite on social media!
The Christmas Family Service will take place on Sunday 20th December at 11am. There will be traditional carols, and scripture readings as well as performances from our worship band, children and young people.
Our Christmas Eve Service is at 6pm on Thursday 24th December. All are welcome.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served after both Christmas Services.
To conclude the Sunday Service year we have a shortened, one hour, service on Sunday 27th December at 11am.
2016 Sunday services begin with a full service and Communion on Sunday 3rd January at 11am.
We pray that you will be greatly blessed in this Christmas season and look forward to celebrating it with you.
